This September, take part in an unforgettable event that turns bold action into real impact. By rappelling 11 stories down EMU’s Hill Hall, you’ll help Friends In Deed remove barriers and strengthen stability for neighbors across Washtenaw County. This year, we're expanding the event through partnerships with local nonprofits and community organizations, creating an even greater opportunity for visibility, collaboration, and impact. Know a Washtenaw County nonprofit that should be part of this exciting collaboration? We'd love to connect! Contact Elisa at elisa@friendsindeedmi.org to learn more.

About Friends In Deed
Since 1983, Friends In Deed (FID) has supported individuals and families in Washtenaw County, especially in Ypsilanti’s 48197 and 48198 zip codes. Guided by our mission, “Helping people in need and building community to end poverty,” we provide essential services that promote stability, resilience, and opportunity.
In 2020, we introduced Over the Edge, a fundraising event that turns personal action into community impact. Participants rappel while raising funds that directly help local families—making OTE a symbol of solidarity, empowerment, and hope in our community.
