Friends In Deed is grateful to United Way for Southeastern Michigan for supporting our Circles Washtenaw program through its annual Power of the Purse initiative.
Since its inception, Power of the Purse has raised more than $450,000 to support women, girls and families throughout Washtenaw County. Friends In Deed was among the 2025 grantees whose work was highlighted in United Way’s recent impact story.
The funding helped support Circles Washtenaw, where neighbors work toward their goals with the support of Allies, relationships and connections to resources and opportunities. United Way’s story shares how that support has made a meaningful difference for Circles participants—including one mother who was able to pay off her student loan and move forward toward her next financial goal.
We’re proud to be part of a community of organizations working together to create greater opportunity for Washtenaw County families.
